Hi and welcome to our site. My name is Robert Rump and I am the owner of Bespoke Carpentry & Joinery. I started this business in 2010 with a passion for restoring the distinguished heritage homes characteristic of Vankleek Hill and surrounding area. I have successfully combined a post secondary education in business administration and early post grad work in production and manufacturing operations for large corporations to build a business restoring homes and building fine custom cabintery and furniture to customize their interiors. Here's my story...with the birth of our first daughter in late 2009, I wanted to make some changes to balance work and family and easily made the decision to give up corporate work (and the two hour daily commute that came with it), to pursue this business. I wanted to be close to home. contribute to the viability of my community and make a decent living, all while being available for my growing family. My first customer, who has always been a champion of Bespoke Carpentry & Joinery and the lifestyle we are living, called me about 5 minutes before I made the decision to start the business, to hire us for our first job!
